Terrific Teacher and Terrific Terrapin

This week’s Terrific Teacher at CREECS is MS. Tracy Thornley! This award is nominated and voted on by CREECS students.

Ms. Tracy has many wonderful attributes and is an important part of our CREECS family.  This is what was said about her:

“This week I nominate a teacher who always tries to make everyone in her classroom succeed in school and even life, no matter what. She helps students all the time, no matter their needs. While some students in her class refuse to do the work, she stays patient and always finds a way to get them to continue trying. All throughout this school year, she has never once gotten frustrated or impatient with us. She always provides the opportunities students need to be able to complete their work and consistently answers any and all questions we have. She is one of, if not THE most well-spoken person I have or most likely will ever meet. The level of poetry that she manages to weave into our everyday conversations in-class time is amazing and often flies right over most of our heads. She does not get the appreciation she deserves for being such a supportive and amazing teacher.”

Congratulations, Ms. Tracy!

Congratulations to this week’s student nominees for Terrific Terrapin.

They are Ava Grace Manavian, Timoya Taylor, and Lee McClellan.

This week’s winner is Lee McClellan and here is what was said about him:

“Lee has a heart of gold and is possibly the kindest and most thoughtful individual I have had the pleasure to know. This student consistently demonstrates selflessness, carrying out these actions because of who they are and not because of what they will get in return. Often it is not the loud and grand displays of talent and charity that make the biggest impact in this world, rather it is those individuals that are able to see others in need and offer their kindness. When we plant the seed of kindness in those around us, we will help the world grow into a better place.”

Way to go, everyone!
